Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma’s largest lake, is located in southeastern Oklahoma and the city of Eufaula is at the heart of Lake Eufaula . Covering 105,500 surface acres with over 800 miles of shoreline.
For fun on the water, Lake Eufaula has multiple marinas and rentals are available at some for houseboats, pontoon boats, ski boats and paddle boats. The marinas on the lake also provide boating accessories and groceries to ensure visitors are prepared on their outing. For visitors who bring their own boat, there are many boat ramps available for easy access. Enjoy the action of water sports including skiing, wakeboarding and tubing while speeding across the lake, or relax on a slowly-moving pontoon boat. Canoe and kayak rentals are also available at Lake Eufaula.
Fishing is a favorite pastime at Lake Eufaula. Tournaments are held every year and fishermen come from all around to compete for bragging rights. Fishing at Lake Eufaula is a year-round sport, and some marinas feature enclosed, heated docks for fishing in comfort during winter. Bait and fishing supplies are available at the marinas. Fish that can be found in Lake Eufaula include white bass, catfish, crappie and striper, among others.

Eufaula is located 12 miles South of Interstate 40 at the junction of US Highway 69 and Oklahoma State Highway 9 in Southeastern Oklahoma. The city is situated around beautiful Eufaula Cove on Lake Eufaula and is the gateway to many outdoor activities.

Much of the colorful history of this area; Indian life, Outlaw gangs, and Civil War battles still remain for visitors to see. The Battle of Honey Springs, the largest and most important of the battles fought during the Civil War in Oklahoma, took place July 17,1863 on a site 3 1/2 miles northeast of Checotah, Oklahoma.
